Full EPC Services for the 400 MW York Energy Centre which consists of two (2) Siemens STG6 – 5000 – F4 Gas Fired Turbines operating in Simple Cycle Mode as a Peaking Facility and load support, in the North York Region of Ontario. Phoenix was also responsible for the design and construction of the 230kV Switchyard to allow the facility to interconnect with the Hydro One Transmission System.
Phoenix assisted the Owner in the negotiation of the Siemens Turbine Generators Supply Agreement and provided all of the Balance of Plant Equipment for the Project. We also assisted the Owner in completing the Environmental Assessment and obtaining the Air, Noise and Industrial Sewage Permits from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. A Full Notice to Proceed for the project was issued in September of 2010.
