Phoenix Power Group has been working with the First Nations Project Sponsor to develop the Meadow Lake BioEnergy Centre. This project will produce 40 MW of electrical power by burning clean wood residues in a Stoker Boiler to generate steam that will drive a Steam Turbine Generator. 60% of the fuel will be supplied by mills that are adjacent to the project site.


The Project will incorporate the following design features:

  • Stoker Boiler producing 325,000 lbs/hr of 1200 PSI – 950 F Steam

  • 40 MW Condensing Steam Turbine Generator

  • 13.8 kV to 138 kV Generator Step-Up Transformer

  • Switchyard to connect the Facility with SaskPower’s Transmission System

  • Wood Yard designed to handle 150 Tons Per Hour

  • Multi-Clone followed by an Electrostatic Precipitator for Air Quality Control

  • Air Cooled Condenser

  • Water Intake Structure, Pumps and piping for Cooling Tower Make-Up
